Commercial - Conflict of interest (R4609 May 2009) Where subsidiaries within a group of companies share common staff, with each subsidiary instructing solicitors at different firms on separate developments, there will need to be clear evidence of a conflict before a solicitor will be required to cease acting for one of the subsidiaries -- Legal practice management - Change of practice structure; notification to clients (R4608 May 2009) The requirement to notify all clients in writing when you intend to transfer the whole or part of your practice to another practitioner will be interpreted strictly.
