Notes:
Victoria could risk losing the benefits of successfully reintegrating prisoners if unjust and poorly resourced changes to parole are implemented in response to the review by former High Court judge Ian Callinan, according to the LIV. LIV president Reynah Tang said the LIV supports many of the review?s 23 recommendations and the focus on public safety but he cautioned that the Parole Board cannot operate effectively without an increase in its funding.
