Property law - conflict of interest/successive (R4354 June 2006) - The conflict of interest restrictions in r8.7 of the Professional Conduct and Practice Rules 2005 cannot be overcome on the basis that a client undertaking a "one off" transaction does not normally carry on business as a "builder, developer or subdivider" ; Employment law - conflict of interest/successive (R4361 June 2006) - A firm who acted for a client in intervention order proceedings does not have a conflict of interest acting for the plaintiff and against that client in contractual proceedings, as the plaintiff had assisted the defendant, and attended the earlier meetings. ; Family law - conflict of interest/concurrent (R4364 June 2006) - A conflict of interest may arise where a firm acts initially for a party and then subsequently his parents in family law matters ; Workplace relations - unauthorised access to information (R4360 June 2006) - A firm cannot continue to act for a client who illegally procures confidential information
