Family law: conflict (R4312 March 2006) - A solicitor can act for a party in family law proceedings even where that solicitor has previously acted for both husband and wife in joint matters, where confidential information has not been obtained. ; Family law: conflict of interest (R4313 March 2006) - Social and business dealings with a person will not create a conflict of interest for a solicitor who later acts for the spouse in family law matters. ; Property law: solicitors' lien - trust account (R4315 March 2006) - A general lien does not arise where funds are held in trust by a firm as a stakeholder. ; Litigation: conflict of interest - solicitor as witness (R4320 March 2006) - Distance and client disadvantage do not cure a conflict of interest where a solicitor is a material witness in a litigated matter.
