Victorian courts are leading the way in the use of video-conferencing technology for the conduct of trials and other hearings. The article focuses on advances made in this area in the County Court and argues that the use of video-links can substantially reduce the cost of a trial or more importantly, prevent delay simple because a witness is overseas, interstate or in country Victoria.
