Notes:
Trade Practices Commission report "Study of the professions, legal, final report" March 1994, said that the office of Queens Counsel should be abolished. NSW abolished in in 1994. Victoria retained. ; Senior Counsel; Queen's Attorneys ; Discontent that Attorney-Generals have sometimes "jumped the queue"in being appointed as a QC, as a result of the AG status rather than recognition of their distinquished legal career. The author considers the ethical ramifications and suggests that other states may want to follow NSW's lead in abolishing the title of QC, to prevent it being used for political purposes
