Notes:
Economic survey results - includes tables ; More than half the principals of Victorian law firm practices have an income under $35,000 from the firm. This is one of the shock statistics to emerge from a comprehensive and detailed economic survey of the profession commissioned by the Law Institute of Victoria. The results put legal practice under the microscope and say also that firms with one or two principals are giving a less than adequate return while some solicitors are working for an hourly rate less than that paid to waterside workers or teachers.
